Inspirational Architect and designer Wayne Hemingway officially opened Fred's New Headquarters on 24 September 2008. Wayne was the special guest at the champagne reception which included refreshments and speeches from members of commerce in the city, the Major of the City of Lincoln.

In Mr Hemingway's welcome speech he said that "The UK is becoming known as THE hotbed of creativity. The Terrace is a great investment for Lincoln’s future prosperity as well as its cultural well being.”

Having started the now worldwide established fashion company Red or Dead from a clothing stall in London’s Camden and Kensington Markets, Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway managed to break into the highly competitive fashion world.

With 21 consecutive London Fashion Week appearances, and three unprecedented prestigious British Fashion Council’s Streetstyle Designer of the Year Awards in 1996, 1997 and 1998, the pair who met at a disco in Burnley, sold the company for a multi-million pound figure to start an affordable and social design business Hemingway Design.
